Directions for putting a video clip in your wiki page

  1. Click the edit button on your page.
  2. Click the ‘Link’ button on the task bar.
  3. You will need to click on the ‘External Link’ tab.
  4. Go to the top of the screen and minimize it.
  5. You can now go to any search engine and find a video clip.  Remember, you need to have a video clip with a URL address.
  6. Once you have found the clip, go up to the address bar, put the cursor on the address and left on it to make it blue.
  7. After it is blue, right click and a box will appear. Left click on the word ‘copy’.  The box will disappear.
  8. You may now minimize this screen.
  9. Go down to the bottom of the screen and click on your wiki to bring it back up.
  10. Left click in the box to put the cursor there then, right click to bring that little box back.  Left click on the word ‘paste’ and the URL of your clip will appear in the box.
  11. You will need to put in a title of some sort in the box where it says ‘Link Text’.  Don’t forget to do that.
  12. Next, you just click on the button that says ‘Add Link’ in the lower right-hand corner.
  13. You should be taken to your wiki page and the address will be in color.
  14. You will not be able to view your video clip until AFTER you save your page, so I recommend clicking the SAVE button now.  You can go back and EDIT some more after you check to make sure the clip works.
